It started with a group of individuals interested in garden trains. Today the Kenosha Garden Railroad Society (KGRS) is dedicated to promoting the hobby of garden railroading throughout Southeastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. The members work diligently to grow the organization into the premier model railroading organization in the area.

KGRS operates two different portable sectional layouts at various events. The organization plans to develop and build an outdoor garden railroad where its members and general public can enjoy gardening and model trains at the same time.

The members are a diverse group of individuals from various work experiences and backgrounds. Some of them participate in other model railroad scales and in other hobbies/interests outside of model trains. But all of them share a passion for garden railroading and stride to make KGRS very successful. EVERYONE (members, family, and guests) is always welcome to the organization.
